Three arrested in Strängnäs over suspected fatal assault

Three people have been arrested in Strängnäs on suspicion of causing another person’s death, Swedish public broadcaster SVT reports.

A body was discovered in central Strängnäs early on Friday, with police receiving the report around 4 a.m. on Midsummer Eve. Forensic teams have cordoned off the scene, according to local newspaper Strängnäs Tidning.

Police are investigating the incident as a case of causing death, with the suspected offence occurring both indoors and outdoors. The three detainees, aged between 30 and 50, remain in custody, though their relationship to the deceased is not yet known, said police duty officer Oskar Öster.
