Faroese fish exports rise 440 million krona despite lower volumes

The value of Faroese fish exports between May 2025 and April 2026 rose by 440 million krona, or 40.7 percent, according to the Faroese statistics agency Hagstovan.
Despite the increase in value, the volume of fish exported grew by only 16.5 percent. This contrasts with salmon, where export value increased by 9.4 percent but volume rose by 23.9 percent, as salmon prices fell sharply last year.
Overall fish product exports increased in value by 14.3 percent, while volume declined by 6.7 percent. The value of feed and meal exports decreased.
