A promised structural and functional assessment of the school in Trøðni, part of last year’s budget negotiations, has not been completed, KVF reports.

Bárður á Lakjuni, a government minister, confirmed in a written response to MP Eyðgunn Samuelsen that no direct assessment exists. He noted that Landsverk, the national property agency, may already have sufficient knowledge of the building to proceed with upgrades.

Last December, officials said the school principal, Landsverk, and an external consultant would produce a structural and functional description of the Trøðni school, covering both educational and physical conditions. The minister now states that Landsverk is considering approving an additional allocation next year to align the building with curriculum changes. This year, 2.4 million kroner have been earmarked for the work, covering roughly a third of the required upgrades.
