Unpublished Ole Lund Kirkegaard children’s book to be released

A previously unpublished children’s book by the late Danish author Ole Lund Kirkegaard will be released after his daughter discovered and completed an old manuscript, publisher Gyldendal announced.

The book, titled Kalle og Kaptajn Skipper, marks the first new work by Kirkegaard, known for classics like Gummi-Tarzan and Otto er et næsehorn, since his death 47 years ago at age 38.

Gyldendal senior editor Nana Baaner Klitgaard called the publication a significant event.
