Posti cancels major Hämeenlinna logistics hub project

Posti Group has abandoned plans to build a logistics centre in Hämeenlinna, ending its reservation of a plot at the More business area, the city announced on Wednesday.

According to a city statement, the decision stems from changes in Posti’s business operations and operating environment.

Hämeenlinna mayor Olli-Poika Parviainen said cooperation with Posti had been positive and discussions valuable despite the outcome.

“We remain confident about the future and will continue our determined work to develop the More area and the vitality of Hämeenlinna as a whole,” he said.
