Johnny í Grótinum has been appointed chair of a new 10-member reform committee established by Greenland’s government, Naalakkersuisut, reports Faroese broadcaster KVF.

The committee will assess how to improve public sector efficiency, including the division of responsibilities between national and municipal levels, and explore how new technology and knowledge can address public tasks.

Faroese official Magni Laksáfoss will also serve on the committee, which aims to deliver its first interim report with actionable proposals in the first quarter of 2027. A final report, expected by mid-2028, will form the basis for political work on public sector reforms.
