Woman charged with money laundering to appear in Faroese court

A Faroese woman charged with money laundering is set to appear in court tomorrow, following her arrest at Vágar Airport in June 2024 as she attempted to leave the country.
Authorities found 37,000 Danish kroner and 8,000 euros—equivalent to roughly 58,000 kroner—in her possession. Police suspect the money stems from illegal activity. The woman denies the charges, according to a report by Faroese broadcaster KVF.
