Oslo police confirmed a police car collided with a private vehicle during an emergency response to reports of buses blocking ambulances at Ullevål hospital, Dagbladet reports.
Operations manager Øyvind Hammervold said police received multiple urgent calls about buses obstructing ambulance access at the hospital. The exact number of buses involved remains unclear.
“When we receive such reports, we consider them critical enough to require immediate response to resolve the situation as quickly as possible,” Hammervold said.
Police later determined ambulances could still pass through. En route to the hospital, a police car collided with a private vehicle. No serious injuries were reported, though three people were taken to a medical clinic for evaluation.
The Special Unit was notified as a routine measure. Hammervold confirmed additional police units arrived to address the obstruction.
