Organizers of the Olympic events have invested billions of kroner to ensure that the Seine River is clean enough for triathletes to swim. It now appears that the competitions scheduled for today can take place, as confirmed by Rasmus Henning, team leader of Triathlon Denmark.

Until 4 AM this morning, there was uncertainty about whether the events could go ahead. In fact, the men’s competition was initially planned to have concluded by now, with medals already awarded. However, the organizers postponed the men’s event yesterday morning due to ongoing concerns.

Further updates are expected as the situation unfolds.
