Helsinki police investigate attempted murder in Vallila

Helsinki police are investigating an attempted murder after a man sustained serious head injuries in the Vallila district on Friday, reports Yle.

The incident occurred on Nokiankuja street. Emergency services were alerted at around 11:30. Police suspect a bladed weapon was used in the attack.

The victim has been taken to hospital for treatment. Two individuals have been detained in connection with the case.

Investigators are looking into whether the parties involved knew each other prior to the incident.
