Faroese mediation attempt between KAF and health union fails

The Faroese Municipal Employers’ Association (KAF) and the Health Workers’ Union have abandoned mediation efforts after failing to reach a new collective agreement, the Faroese Broadcasting Corporation (KVF) reports.

Mediation began earlier this year, but the parties have yet to produce a proposal. Both KAF and the Health Workers’ Union rejected the latest offer two weeks ago, and the mediation service has since withdrawn from the process.

KVF will provide further updates in its 9 a.m. radio news, including an interview with Mary Antonsdóttir, chair of the Health Workers’ Union.
