The Swedish Public Health Agency has recommended that children should not have their own smartphone until they turn 13, following a government-commissioned review.
The agency submitted its interim report to Social Minister Jakob Forssmed on Thursday, outlining new guidelines that also urge adults to put away phones during time with their children and establish phone-free zones at home.
