The Faroese Municipal Employers’ Association (KAF) and the Faroese Red Cross Society are meeting at the mediation office today at 10:00, KVF reports.
Both parties attended a mediation session two days ago, after which they separated to review various proposals. Mary Antonsdóttir, chair of the Red Cross Society, said before today’s meeting that she had studied some figures since the last session and would bring new material to the discussion.
The previous collective agreement expired on 1 October last year. Negotiations have taken place in several rounds, including a mediation attempt two weeks ago that ended with both sides rejecting the mediator’s proposal. Antonsdóttir said at the time that the proposal offered too little, while Per Martin Gregersen, KAF chair, called it too expensive.
