Keskisuomalainen acquires Turun Tienoo newspaper

Media group Keskisuomalainen has acquired the local newspaper Turun Tienoo, the company announced on Thursday.

Karri Kannala, regional director for Keskisuomalainen Media Oy in Southern Finland, stated that Turun Tienoo complements the group’s product range in Southwest Finland. The company previously purchased Perniönseudun Lehti and Salonjokilaakso, both published in Salo.

Keskisuomalainen also revealed plans to resume publication of the city magazine Turkulainen, which has been on hiatus since 2020.

The group is the second-largest shareholder in Finnish news agency STT.
