Two teens charged with preparing serious violence against a Tampere school
Prosecutors have charged two young men with preparing a serious offence against life or health in connection with a planned attack on a vocational school in Tampere, Yle reports.
The case emerged in April when police investigated suspicions that the pair had plotted violence against the Santalahti unit of Tampere Vocational College Tredun. The older suspect is a student at the school; the younger is not.
A 16-year-old boy was remanded in custody by Pirkanmaa District Court on 2 April, and an 18-year-old man was remanded by Southwest Finland District Court on 28 March. Neither has prior convictions in Pirkanmaa District Court over the past decade.
The case will be heard in Pirkanmaa District Court on 23 June.
