The copper spire of Frederikshavn Church in northern Denmark was safely dismantled and lowered on Tuesday as part of a major renovation project, Danish broadcaster DR reported.

Crews used specialized lifting equipment to detach and remove the aging spire, which will now undergo restoration work before being reinstalled. The operation marks a key phase in the church’s ongoing repairs.

Frederikshavn Church, a prominent landmark in the coastal city, has been undergoing structural and aesthetic upgrades in recent months.
