Oulu’s city council will decide Monday evening on a historic overhaul of the city’s service network, with proposals to close or restructure 15 schools, 12 daycare centers, and four libraries, Yle reports.

The cuts stem from the city’s worsening financial situation and a declining child population. A total of 19 service network decisions are on the table, most or all of which are expected to go to a vote.

The council’s session is ongoing, and updates will follow as decisions are made.
