Sweden’s official National Day festivities will be broadcast live from Stockholm’s Skansen open-air museum on Saturday, featuring performances by artists including Lisa Nilsson, Åsa Jinder, and the Tensta Gospel Choir, state broadcaster SVT reports.
The royal family will arrive by horse-drawn carriage for the ceremony, where King Carl XVI Gustaf will deliver a speech and present flags. The event will also include a flag-raising ceremony, the singing of the national anthem, and live reports from local celebrations across the country.
The evening will conclude with the traditional taptå military tattoo at the Royal Palace’s Logården courtyard, performed by the Swedish Armed Forces Field Artists and the Army Band. The broadcast, hosted by Anne Lundberg and Fouad Youcefi, is produced in collaboration with the Swedish National Day Foundation and Skansen.
The programme will be available to stream worldwide until 3 December.
