The CEO of wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has called for increased production across all energy sources, including fossil fuels and potentially nuclear power, to meet future demand.

Henrik Andersen, speaking in an interview with Danish broadcaster DR, argued that the world must scale up energy production broadly rather than focus solely on renewables. While emphasizing wind power as a core solution, he said fossil fuels and nuclear should also be part of the mix.

Andersen’s remarks come amid ongoing debate over Denmark’s energy transition, with wind projects facing local opposition and delays.
