The Faroese municipality of Sunda received its first cruise vessel on Monday, as the M/S Expedition docked in Hvalvík for roughly one hour, according to public broadcaster KVF.
Around 100 passengers and a crew of 90 were aboard the ship. Mayor Eyðstein Zachariasen told KVF he expects more cruise traffic in the future.
The arrival marks Sunda’s entry into the small group of Faroese municipalities now hosting cruise tourism.
