Motorcyclist injured in accident near Breiðuvík in Westfjords, Iceland

A motorcyclist was transported to the Landspítali hospital following an accident near Breiðuvík in the Westfjords today. The Coastguard helicopter received a request for assistance at 14:40 and arrived at the scene about an hour later.

According to the Coastguard, two foreign tourists were riding, and the motorcycle of one of them went off the road. No details were available regarding the condition of the injured individual.
