Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo does not oppose the release of the so-called Tiitinen list, according to a report by Ilta-Sanomat cited by public broadcaster Yle.
The list, compiled during the Cold War, contains the names of Finns suspected of ties to East Germany’s Stasi intelligence service. Orpo told Ilta-Sanomat that if the governing National Coalition Party approves a youth wing proposal to push for the list’s publication, the matter should be discussed with coalition partners.
The party’s executive board is expected to present the initiative to its national convention for a vote.
