Munich airport closes two runways after suspected drone sighting

Munich’s international airport has temporarily closed two runways following reports of a suspected drone within the airport’s airspace, German federal police confirmed to SVT Nyheter on Saturday.

A police spokesperson told German newspaper Focus that a pilot had alerted authorities to “suspicious observations” near the airfield. Helicopters have been deployed to search for the drone as investigations continue.
