A jury at Copenhagen City Court on Thursday found nine men guilty of participating in three attempted murders tied to a conflict between rival gangs, according to a report by Danish broadcaster DR.

The verdicts stem from a series of planned shootings involving gunmen traveling to Denmark from Sweden and Germany between July and December 2024. A 22-year-old defendant was acquitted of attempted murder but convicted on drug and weapon possession charges.

The first attempted murder, on 9–10 July 2024, involved two Swedish men who traveled to Denmark to target individuals linked to the banned Loyal To Familia (LTF) gang near a kiosk on Amager’s Holmbladsgade. Four Danish residents—aged 18, 17, 21, and two aged 22—were convicted of supplying a firearm to the Swedes. Three were also found guilty under Denmark’s gang legislation, which can double penalties.

A second attempt occurred on 10–13 July 2024, when another Swedish gunman arrived with the same objective. The 18- and 17-year-old Danish defendants, along with a 21-year-old Swede, were convicted in this case. Authorities intercepted the gunman before any shots were fired.

In a third incident on 2 December 2024, a German resident entered Denmark intending to kill LTF-affiliated individuals. The 18-year-old defendant was again convicted, though the attempt failed when the German could not obtain a weapon. He was arrested in Copenhagen before leaving the country.

Several defendants face additional convictions for offenses including robbery, drug possession, and illegal explosives. Sentencing hearings for six defendants are scheduled in June, with the remaining four to be decided in November.
