Norwegian police have detained a man and a woman on suspicion of murdering Ragge Løkkeberg, who disappeared in February 2024, Dagbladet reports.
The arrests were made Tuesday morning in a joint operation by Innlandet and Troms police districts. Both suspects had a prior relationship with Løkkeberg, according to authorities. They have not yet been formally questioned, and their legal responses to the allegations remain unclear.
The woman’s defense attorney, Tor Haug, told Dagbladet his client “does not admit guilt and does not understand what this is about.” She is expected to be interrogated later today. Both suspects will appear in Nord-Troms and Senja District Court on Wednesday for a custody hearing.
Løkkeberg, then 61, was last seen leaving Innlandet Hospital in Lillehammer on the morning of 16 February 2024. He was reported missing in October of that year. Police announced earlier in 2026 that they believed he had been killed.
