Norway’s Prince Sverre Magnus returns from Italy to stay

Prince Sverre Magnus, 20, has moved back to Norway after a year in Italy and will remain in the country, Dagbladet reports.

The prince, third in line to the Norwegian throne, had been living in Milan since autumn 2025 while running his production company, Sverre Magnus Productions. Official statements previously indicated he, like his sister Princess Ingrid Alexandra, was based abroad.

In recent weeks, he has accompanied his father, Crown Prince Haakon, on multiple official engagements, including receptions for Paralympic athletes and visits to research and cultural institutions.

His return follows a period of family challenges, including his mother’s ongoing battle with chronic pulmonary fibrosis. His half-brother, Marius Borg Høiby, also awaits a verdict in a high-profile Oslo court case.
