A workplace accident at Skarðshjallur has claimed a life, the Faroese police reported on Friday.

The incident occurred on the industrial estate at Skarðshjallur. A 25-year-old man died in the accident according to a report from KVF. The police received a report of the accident around 11:00 a.m. The police cannot at this time provide further details about the event. The working environment authority and fire inspection have been notified of the case.
