Kúrberg gets fishing permits for trawling

The trawler Kúrberg, which Thor Fisheries purchased from Iceland about a month ago, has been granted fishing permits, the Faroese broadcaster KVF reports.

The vessel has received 81 fishing days on the inner route and 98 days on the outer route, and will be allowed to try trawling.

Originally built in Japan in 1973, the vessel underwent major modifications at a shipyard in Poland in 1989 and 2007, including being lengthened.
