Man charged over maritime safety violation after boat collision

A man has been charged with violating criminal law and maritime safety legislation following a collision between a fast boat and a guard and rescue vessel, KVF reports.

Police received a report last Saturday that a fast boat had struck the guard and rescue ship ‘Brimil’ in Vestmanna, and people were taken to the National Hospital. Police have since conducted investigations and charged one person. The investigation continues.
