New figures show the yellow union Det Faglige Hus has surpassed the major red union 3F in membership numbers, according to Danish broadcaster DR.

The development has alarmed self-employed bricklayer Mette Schak Dahlmann, who said she fears it could spell the end of the Danish labour market model if the trend continues.

Det Faglige Hus is considered a yellow, or non-affiliated, union, while 3F is one of the largest traditional trade unions in Denmark.
