Woman found dead in Rauma apartment, police suspect homicide

A woman was found dead in a private apartment in Rauma on Saturday, with police investigating the case as a suspected homicide, reports Finnish public broadcaster Yle.

The body was discovered in the afternoon in a residential building on Nortamonkatu. Authorities received notification of the incident at 2:30 PM local time.

Two men, aged approximately 50–60, were detained at the scene on suspicion of involvement in the crime. The deceased woman was also in the same age range.

Southwest Finland Police are appealing for public assistance, requesting any observations or information related to the vicinity of Nortamonkatu 26. Witnesses can submit tips via email to [email protected].
