Secondhand clothing, including discontinued fast-fashion items, is being resold at inflated prices on the platform Vinted, Danish broadcaster DR reports.

The trend—previously seen with luxury handbags and rare sneakers—has now spread to mass-produced, low-cost fashion. Sellers are capitalising on demand for out-of-stock or discontinued pieces, listing them at prices far above their original retail value.

The practice reflects a shift in consumer behaviour, where secondhand items once considered disposable are now treated as collectible goods.
