Arrest of Foxtrot’s second-in-command deals major blow to gang
The arrest of Mohamed “Moewgli” Mohdhi, the second-in-command of the Swedish criminal network Foxtrot, in Tunisia will significantly weaken the gang’s operations, according to a report by public broadcaster SVT.
Crime reporter Diamant Salihu told SVT’s Morgonstudion that Mohdhi’s detention would disrupt Foxtrot’s structure, making it harder for gang leader Rawa Majid to coordinate violent acts. Salihu described Mohdhi as a key figure who drove recruitment and violent operations, including bombings, smuggling, and murders.
“He is extremely loyal to Rawa Majid—so loyal that it’s said he would remain loyal even unto death,” Salihu said.
Alexander Wallenius of Sweden’s National Operations Department confirmed to SVT that while Tunisian authorities have not yet officially verified the arrest, it would “greatly impact Foxtrot’s capabilities” if confirmed. Tunisia has been a focus for Swedish police since 2023, when multiple individuals linked to the gang were detained there.
The arrest could create a power vacuum within Foxtrot, though Salihu noted that others are already positioned to fill Mohdhi’s role.
