Meteorologists say it is still too early to predict exact conditions for Norway’s Constitution Day celebrations, though no extreme weather is expected, Dagbladet reports.

While some regions may see pleasant weather, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute stresses that forecasts remain unreliable this far in advance. “It’s difficult to give precise details already,” said duty meteorologist Iris Hestnes. “Most areas will have fairly calm winds, and there won’t be heavy rainfall.”

Temperatures are unlikely to reach summer levels, with highs of 15–17°C possible in some southern areas and around 8–10°C in the north. Coastal parts of Troms and Finnmark, as well as parts of eastern Norway, may experience scattered showers and overcast skies.

A low-pressure system moving northward could bring rain to western Norway early in the week, while a separate snow warning—affecting northern Vestlandet and Innlandet—remains in place until Monday morning. “It’s important to remember winter tires, not summer ones,” Hestnes advised.

The institute will continue refining its forecasts as the date approaches, with updates expected in the coming days.
