Faroese care home Gloria to expand with six new residential units
The Gloria care home in Klaksvík, which supports homeless individuals and those with social challenges, will be expanded to include six additional residential units by the end of the year, local broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports.
Once completed, the facility will have a total of 13 residential units and one guest room. Construction has already begun, with the new section expected to be ready for occupancy around New Year’s.
Mamy Dahl Sørensen, the facility’s manager, stated that the current space had become too limited. “The care home for homeless people and those facing social difficulties has grown too small,” Sørensen said.
