Proposed zoning changes for area north of Faroese Broadcasting Corporation and Nordic House open for consultation
A proposed amendment to the special zoning plan for the area north of the Faroese Broadcasting Corporation (Kringvarpið) and the Nordic House in Tórshavn is now open for public consultation, Kringvarp Føroya reports.
The draft plan allows for residential development in three-storey buildings, with provisions to subdivide up to 18 terraced houses. A total of 84 housing units are proposed under the name Ternutún.
The Tórshavn City Council approved the amendment on 30 April, with nine votes in favour, two against, and one abstention. The consultation documents are available on the municipal website and can also be reviewed at the city’s service centre, Snarskivuna. The public consultation period runs until 18 June.
