New website compares grocery prices across Faroese supermarkets

A newly launched website aims to help Faroese consumers find the cheapest groceries by comparing prices across supermarkets, according to its founder.

The platform, prisvoka.fo, collects and analyses receipts from stores nationwide to provide real-time price comparisons, founder Kristian Eli Zachariasen told Faroese national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya (KVF).

Zachariasen said the goal is to gather around 2,000 receipts from various retailers to ensure the most accurate price tracking possible. So far, the response from the public has been strong, with many submitting their shopping data.

The website is designed to help shoppers stretch their budgets further amid rising living costs.
