Worker dies after being crushed in poultry farm accident in Säkylä

A worker has died after being crushed in an industrial accident at a large poultry farm in Säkylä, southwest Finland, according to a report by Finnish public broadcaster Yle.

The Southwestern Finland Police Department confirmed that emergency services received a call at 11 a.m. on Monday reporting a person trapped in production facilities at the farm, located on Luvalahdentie in Köyliö. Rescue units, paramedics, and a medical helicopter responded to the scene, but the victim was declared dead at the site.

Police have not released further details, citing the ongoing investigation.
