Technical issues disrupt driving theory and practical tests across Sweden

Hundreds of driving theory and practical tests have been cancelled across Sweden due to technical problems reported on Monday morning, according to SVT Nyheter and Aftonbladet.

Both the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) and the Swedish Transport Agency (Transportstyrelsen) have confirmed they are investigating the issue, which has affected registration systems used by driving schools nationwide.

Mikael Andersson, press chief at the Swedish Transport Agency, told news agency TT that while the fault has been reported, its origin remains unclear. “The Swedish Transport Administration has reported problems, and we are examining whether the issue lies with us, but at present, we have no information confirming that,” he said.
