Faroe Islands church seeks new priest for Hvalvík parish
The Church of the Faroe Islands is recruiting a priest for the Hvalvík parish in Norðstreymoy, with the position set to begin on 1 August, reports national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.
The vacancy follows the appointment of Jákup Erlingsson Petersen as parish priest for northern Suðuroy. The successful candidate will serve five congregations—Hvalvík, Hósvík, Saksun, Haldórsvík, and Tjørnuvík—as well as conduct services at Langasandur school.
Applications close at noon on 18 May.
