Three dead on cruise ship amid suspected hantavirus outbreak
A suspected outbreak of hantavirus on a cruise ship crossing the Atlantic has left three people dead, BBC reports. The vessel was travelling from Argentina to Cape Verde when the deaths occurred.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has indicated that hantavirus is the suspected cause of the outbreak aboard the ship.
US to assist “innocent” vessels in Strait of Hormuz from Monday
US President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that the United States will begin assisting “innocent” ships stranded in the Strait of Hormuz starting Monday morning local time.
Shortly after the statement, Iran issued a sharp warning to the US, declaring that any intervention in the Strait of Hormuz would be considered a violation of the ceasefire in the region.
