Amager’s upgraded nature trail officially opens as part of new national network

The newly upgraded Amarminoen trail on Amager has been officially inaugurated as the first route in Denmark’s new national network of nature trails, Danmarks Naturstier, reports DR.

The 27-kilometre trail, stretching from DR Byen to Dragør Fort, was unveiled in a ceremony attended by hikers, local enthusiasts, and officials. “It creates a completely different sense of calm,” one attendee remarked, as participants celebrated the improved path in high spirits.

The event marked the launch of the broader Danmarks Naturstier initiative, a system of interconnected hiking routes designed to promote outdoor access across the country.
