Highway 15 closed in Kouvola after serious accident requires medical helicopter

A section of Highway 15 in Kouvola, southeastern Finland, was closed for about an hour on Thursday after a collision near the Inkeroinen interchange, Finnish broadcaster Yle reports.

The accident occurred just before noon at the junction with Äpäkiventie, close to the border between Kouvola and Kotka. Emergency services, police, and a medical helicopter were dispatched to the scene.

Traffic was diverted via Marinkylä while authorities managed the incident. Further details have not yet been released.
