Finnish band KAJ’s Bara Bada Bastu named song of the year in Sweden
The Swedish band KAJ’s hit Bara Bada Bastu has been named song of the year at Sweden’s annual Grammis awards, reports public broadcaster SVT.
The award was presented at the Grammis gala in Stockholm on Wednesday, organised jointly by the Swedish Recording Academy and music copyright society Stim. The same track previously won Finland’s Emma Award for song of the year in March.
KAJ, whose members include Jakob Norrgård, Kevin Holmström, and Axel Åhman, represented Sweden in last year’s Eurovision Song Contest after winning the country’s national selection, Melodifestivalen. The group placed fourth in the international final.
The band’s success follows their recent appearance at this year’s Melodifestivalen final in March.
