US ends exemptions for Iranian and Russian oil trade

The United States will not extend exemptions that previously allowed limited trade in oil from Iran and Russia despite sanctions, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced in an interview with the Associated Press, SVT Nyheter reports.
