Two arrested after shots fired at residential building in Norway
Norwegian police have arrested two men in connection with a shooting incident at a home in Skjetten, Lillestrøm municipality, Dagbladet reports. The suspects—a Swedish and a Norwegian citizen—were detained in Sweden by Swedish authorities on Thursday.
The men are charged with serious unlawful handling of firearms after shots were fired at the entrance of a terraced house in a housing cooperative at 04:18 AM local time. No injuries were reported, though police confirmed the residents had received threats prior to the attack.
Forensic teams, including police dogs, conducted investigations at the scene Thursday morning. Øst Police District stated in a press release that the two detained individuals are “believed to be linked to the incident.”
