Serious Injury Reported After Violent Incident in Bærum

Police in Bærum have responded to a serious violent incident in Sandvika, leaving one person severely injured, Dagbladet reports.

A victim was transported to hospital with critical injuries following the attack on Tuesday evening, operations manager Vidar Pedersen confirmed. Authorities have detained one individual in connection with the incident, which occurred at a residential address in Sandvika.

“The situation at the scene is under control,” Pedersen stated, adding that there is no ongoing threat to the public. The incident is being treated as isolated.

Investigators are conducting on-site forensic examinations, interviewing witnesses, and gathering further evidence. Pedersen urged anyone with information, photos, or video footage related to the case to contact police.
