Faroe Islands seeks new head psychiatrist for expanded team
The Faroese National Hospital is recruiting a new head psychiatrist for its psychiatric department, which now employs six psychiatrists, Kringvarp Føroya reports.
Tórmóður Stóra, the current leading psychiatrist at the department, confirmed the position is being filled to meet growing demand. “Once this role is staffed, we will have six psychiatrists in total,” he said. “Compared to neighbouring countries, we should have ten.”
Applications for the head psychiatrist role close on 15 May, with the position set to begin on 1 September or by mutual agreement.
