Faroese parliament committee leadership roles assigned

The Faroese People’s Party has named its representatives to lead key parliamentary committees, with Fróði Magnussen and Grímur Sundstein securing chairmanships, national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports.

Fróði Magnussen will chair the Legal Affairs Committee, while newly elected MP Grímur Sundstein takes the helm of the Welfare Committee. Jørgen Niclasen, also of the People’s Party, will lead the Foreign Affairs Committee.

The assignments complete the party’s committee leadership after earlier uncertainty. All committee chairs in the Faroese parliament, the Løgting, have now been confirmed ahead of its next session.
