Faroe Islands parliament holds first session after election
The Faroese parliament, the Løgting, convened its first regular session following the recent general election on Monday, with committee appointments on the agenda, Kringvarp Føroya reports.
Photographs from the session show members of the newly elected parliament, including Johan Dahl, Liljan Weihe, Fía Selma Nielsen, and Bárður á Steig Nielsen, among others. The images were captured by photographer Bjarni Árting Rubeksen.
The session marks the formal start of parliamentary work after the 2026 election, with lawmakers set to appoint representatives to the Løgting’s various committees.
